The well-known watch manufacturer, Vacheron Constantin, has proved superior skills of its watchmakers this year. At the recent fair watches SIHH 2014, they presented another superior produced watch. We are going to pay our attention to the details of the new Patrimony Traditionnelle 14- Day Tourbillon Openworked watch.

New VC model provides superior watch-manufacturer skill, elegance and luxury. The watch has one of the biggest complication in the world of watches – tourbillon . Powered by Vacheron Constantin in-house developed caliber 2260, with some modifications. The new manually wound mechanism 2260 SQ got additional 10h intended to polish the edges of the parts, and 50h was needed for the decoration i.e. hand engraving. This mechanism, as well as all others that come from the VC workshops, carry the Geneva seal. Each component of the caliber must be made to perfection and they are all hand-assembled by skilled watchmakers. Vacheron Constantin 2260 SQ contains four main springs, and its power reserve reaches 336H i.e. 14 days. The frequency is a little lower than usual – 18,000 v/h.

The casing of this clock is made of platinum 950 with dimensions: 42.00mm in diameter and 12.22mm in height. The dial of the clock is fully skeletonized, which makes it possible to see the beauty of the mechanism at the front, and the back. At position “6h” is located the tourbillon in a cage in the style of the Maltese Cross. In addition to this functionality, the model displays hours, minutes, has small second hand’s power reserve indicator. The new model is available with a black leather belt with a buckle overlapping and its reference number is 89010/000P-9935.
