The famous Swiss watchmakers, Oris, has introduced a new limited edition of a diving watch in honor of the historic steamboat made in Switzerland, Hirondelle, which sank June 10, 1862. in Lake Geneva, hitting an underwater rock. The wreck was discovered 104 years later, in 1966. by a team of professional divers.
The watch will be expressed in a limited edition of 151 copies, in honor of 151 years of the sinking of the ship. It has a power reserve indicator inspired by the ship’s throttle labels, FULL, HALF and DEAD. The dial is black and it has a wave motive. The titanium case is 49mm in diameter. The diving bezel has a tungsten insert and patented security system.
Of course, the model has screw-down crown and helium valve at position “9h”. The curved sapphire glass contains anti-reflective coating on the inside. It comes on a rubber strap with safety clasp. Declared a waterproof is 100bar/1000m.
Hirondelle Oris Diver is powered by automatic mechanism 667 (ETA 2897) with a power reserve indicator, and date display at position “3h”. The exact ref. the model number is 667 7645 7294 and comes in a wooden box .
