Longines Avigation Oversize Crown Watches

Swiss watchmaker, Longines, unveiled three new models from its Heritage collection, which was inspired by the watches from the 1920s. Retro design, this time is presented in a new form.

All models come in a 41mm diameter steel case with bi-directional rotating bezel, black dial and gold-plated hands. As can be concluded from the names, these watches have a larger crowns, precisely longer. The crown has this shape for a specific reason – to make pilots with gloves on their hands to handle with it easier.

The first model with reference number L2.777.4.53.2 has standard display time and date set at the position “6h”. It runs automatic ETA 2895 movement. The price of this model is $2,400.oo.

The second model has a more functions such as GMT function and date display at position “3”. Its reference number is L2.778.4.53.2. and is powered with automatic ETA Valgranges A07.17 mechanism, with the price of $3,100.oo.

The third model comes with the chronograph function and one “pusher”. It is powered with Calibre L788 (ETA A08.L11). This model has a reference  number L2.783.4.53.2 and price of $3,500.oo.
